If you make the reservation through the website, you will have to pay 50% of the total amount. Available payment methods are Cash, Debit/Credit Card and MBWay.

Yes, you can cancel your reservation up to 30 days in advance. The procedures to be adopted will be the following:
• If you cancel up to 30 days in advance, from the start time of the activity, you will receive the full amount paid;
• If you cancel up to 15 days in advance, counting from the start time of the activity, you will receive 50% of the amount;
• Cancellations after the aforementioned periods will not be refunded.

All vessels are fully equipped for the available activities. In addition to your clothes, we suggest you bring a bath towel, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses with polarized lenses and a wind and water jacket.

You should wear shoes suitable for the activity or soft-soled sneakers, preferably white. Common shoes should not be used (boots, high heels, etc.), as they damage the floor of the vessel.

Children under the age of 18 must be duly accompanied by an adult, who is responsible for the minor. Neither the skipper nor the crew on board will look after your child.

Depending on the chosen package, the rental price may include the cost of the skipper and tasting of regional products.

No. Our activities require that the 296Iates skipper are always present. The value of this may or may not be included in the price of the contracted package.
The possibility of renting boats without a skipper from 296Iates may be evaluated, and for this purpose the contracted Skipper must hold a valid ICC (International Certificate of Competence) navigation license or a similar qualification. In addition, you will need to have a VHF license and significant experience in commanding vessels of this type.
296 – Iates, Lda. reserves the right to accept the contracted skipper if his navigation skills are considered insufficient to our team, even in cases where he holds certifications.
In this modality, the payment of a deductible is mandatory.

Yes, however, you can only load it at the marina when the vessel docks.

No. You can only embark and disembark at Marina da Horta, Faial island.

This is to cover the yacht's insurance and cover any costs that are not covered upon boarding.
After the rental, if there is no damage or loss to the yacht or its equipment, 296 - Iates, Lda. will proceed with the full refund of the deposit given. However, if there is any damage and/or loss, we will only be able to return the possible remaining amount of the deposit after fully evaluating the costs of repairing the damage and/or loss that have occurred and proceeding with the respective deduction. The guarantee payment covers, but is not limited to:
• Loss and/or damage caused to the vessel, equipment and liability of third parties;
• The loss and/or damage of the equipment included in the inventory delivered by 296 – Iates, Lda. to the charterer at the time of check-in;
• Costs incurred if the vessel is returned in an unacceptably dirty condition;
• The pre-established cost of returning the boat to the port, in case the charterer does not do so on the scheduled date and time.
• The cost of refueling if the boat is returned without refueled tanks.

If you are late and have not provided any prior notice to our team, the established grace period is 5 minutes after the established time for check-In. After this time, we will consider that you did not attend the activity and the amount will not be refunded.

In partnership with Aerohorta, we carry out activities on land in the triangle islands of the Azores archipelago, namely Faial, Pico and São Jorge. Contact us and we will suggest the best travel itinerary for you to explore the islands to the fullest.

These designations were chosen to categorize the time spent on each activity. Half day activities last approximately 3 to 4 hours, while full day activities last approximately 7 to 8 hours.
